The District has over 5,000 businesses in virtually every industry sector.  The District works with the business community to enhance, improve and assist wherever possible, the expansion and growth of business opportunities through our planned projects and programs. In 2009, the District has budgeted $1.25M for new street signage and $1.25M for landscaping and monumentation to create an identifiable look for the District’s major thoroughfares, entranceways, pedestrian crosswalks and business area. In addition to current projects, the District contracts with Precinct One Constables for enhanced security and safety. We also provide monthly mowing, heavy trash and bandit sign removal, business and economic development programs and esplanade improvements.

In upcoming months we will also develop programs to promote community support of local businesses. Strategically located near the Texas Medical Center, Memorial City Mall, the Galleria, and Downtown, we are one of the premier areas of Houston for those who seek to start, expand or grow their business.
